See how your business shows up

People ask an assistant for a recommendation now, as often as they scroll a list of links. This checks whether your business can be found and quoted, and tells you the one thing worth fixing first.

No sign-up. The findings come back in a second or two. The speed test takes a minute or two more, because I run a real one on your home page rather than guessing.

What does the scan check?

It reads your home page and up to five more pages linked from it, the way a visitor would, one page at a time. Then it checks whether the assistants people ask for recommendations are allowed to read your site, whether you have a short summary written for them, whether your pages carry the hidden summary that tells search engines what your business is and what you sell, whether your pages answer real questions in plain words, whether every page has a headline and a summary for search results, how fast your home page loads on a phone and on a computer using Google's own speed test, whether Google has a business profile for you and how many reviews are on it, and whether any of your links are broken.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no card and no account. You type your address, you get the report, and you can save it and keep it. The only limits are there to protect the sites being scanned, not to sell you anything: a few scans a minute and ten an hour. If you want the fixes done for you, that is a separate conversation with me, and the report gives you enough to have that conversation with anyone.

How long does it take?

The findings come back in a second or two. The slowest scan so far took fifteen seconds. What waits is the speed test: that is Google loading your home page on a phone and on a computer, and it takes a minute or two, sometimes up to four if Google needs a second try. Those two rows and your overall grade fill in on the same page when Google answers, because a grade that changed a minute later would look like the tool changing its mind.

Do I need to give you access to anything?

No. All I need is your public website address. The scan reads the pages anyone can already see, a handful of them, one at a time, with a twenty second limit on each and a cap on the size, so your site is never hit harder than it would be by one visitor. There is nothing to install, no login, no password, and no access to your Google account or to the controls of your site.

What do I get at the end?

A report in plain words, ordered by what matters most. It starts with the one thing worth fixing first and how much fixing that alone would move your grade. Every finding says what is wrong, what it is costing you, what to do about it, and carries a separate note for whoever runs your site. Each one links to what the scan actually saw, and anything it could not measure says so by name, with the reason, and never counts against you. You can save the report as a PDF, and if you leave your email I will read it and tell you what it would take to put right.
